This garden presented a unique set of challenges, with varying levels and an annex building that needed to be visually detracted from. Our team was tasked with creating a low-maintenance garden design with a Mediterranean feel that was both functional and beautiful.
We chose to tackle the level changes with Cotswold drystone effect retaining walls that not only created stunning terraces, but also seamlessly blended into the surrounding area. The terraces were framed by deep, lush planting beds that softened the edges and provided a beautiful backdrop. A pergola was added to add height and draw the eye away from the annex building, while a tranquil water feature served as a peaceful focal point. The garden was designed to be easily navigated, with wide, gentle steps leading down from one level to the next.
Our goal was to create a garden that was not only visually stunning, but also sensory. The planting scheme was carefully curated to provide a medley of scent, colour, and texture that would change with the seasons, offering a constant source of beauty and delight to all who visited.
